No podemos hablar de la historia del jazz en Buenos Aires sin él, y no estamos hablando sobre un músico, estamos hablando sobre el único e incomparable "Nano" Herrera (Rubén Sixto Herrera, pero ese no es el nombre verdadero, simplemente "Nano" estará bien).
Sus programas de radio, repletos de excelente jazz, una delicia para muchas generaciones, su presencia en clubes de jazz, disquerías, siempre tratando de descubrir nueva música, y manteniendo vivo el amor por los maravillosos maestros del mundo del jazz.
Varios Martín Fierro (uno de los premios más importantes para la radio y televisión Argentina) sobre sus espaldas, pero siempre listo para poner el brillo de los premios a un lado para hablar, y hablar, y hablar sobre jazz.

Hace algunas semanas estaba realizando una investigación en internet, y algo de buena música llegó a la superficie, gracias a una talentosa pianista de jazz de Islandia, Sunna Gunnlaugs.
Ella está esperando por su visita en su página en internet, allí encontrarán otros enlaces para descubrir un poco más sobre su trabajo.
Los artistas luchando para abrir espacios, y traer diferentes voces a la escena musical, son mis favoritos, Sunna Gunnlaugs está en esa maravillosa lista.


This is the release of a new idea, a brief space dedicated to talk about art, music, all kind of interesting things, in just a few words.

En años recientes, una de las más fantásticas sorpresas, fue descubrir la música de un entonces no muy conocido guitarrista y compositor, Lucio Balduini, pero ahora, cuando estamos hablando sobre él, sabemos que estamos hablando sobre talento, y creatividad sin límite.
"Lucecita" (Buri, 2007) fue su primer disco, y ahora el está listo para poner otros proyectos en el camino, incluyendo un tour Europeo, pero...
El miércoles 18, marzo 2009, 21:30 hs., el estará presentando música de "Lucecita" (Buri, 2007), y también nueva música, el lugar: Notorious (Av. Callao 966, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina), y nuevamente, mismo lugar y hora, el miércoles 25, 2009.
En esta oportunidad como trío, con Lucio Balduini en guitarra, efectos y composiciones, junto con dos grandes socios, Ariel Naón en contrabajo y composiciones, y Rodrigo Reparaz en batería.
No podemos hablar sobre jazz, o cualquier otra etiqueta, pero por supuesto hay algo de jazz involucrado, improvisación, experimentación, pero también melodías, canciones, pienso que realmente necesitan escuchar esto, porque sólo es, sí, "sólo", bella música, ¿pueden pedir algo mejor en estos locos días en que vivimos?


In recent years, one of the most fantastic surprises, was to discover the music from a then not well known guitar player and composer, Lucio Balduini, but now, when we're talking about him, we know we're talking about talent, and creativity without limit.

Juntos desde 2006, el Nicolás Chientaroli Trío aún está trayendo aire fresco la la escena del jazz local, con Nicolás Chientaroli en piano y composiciones, Carlos Álvarez en contrabajo, y Hernán Rodríguez en batería.
Un maravilloso primer álbum: "La música está prohibida" (2007), con las fantásticas creaciones musicales de Nicolás Chientaroli, pero también con música inusual para la grabación de un trío, como la composición de Ornette Coleman "Law years", por alguna razón el gran pianista Ernesto Jodos escribió las notas del álbum, hablando sobre "un grupo que suena diferente".
Y ahora la oportunidad de escuchar está música en vivo, este martes, marzo 3, 2009, 21:30 hs., en Notorious (Av. Callao 966, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina).
Finalmente, excelente jazz, un camino hacia la libre improvisación, con cada músico disfrutando esta mágica sociedad creativa.


Together since 2006, the Nicolás Chientaroli Trío it's still bringing fresh air to the local jazz scene, with Nicolás Chientaroli on piano and compositions, Carlos Álvarez on acoustic bass, and Hernán Rodríguez on drums.

Reconstruyendo euskir's txoko / Rebuilding euskir's txoko

Los últimos meses fueron algo extraños, como pueden ver en el blog hay una presencia irregular de artículos, y estoy trabajando, al menos en alguna área de mi mente, en algunas ideas para mantener el blog en el "buen camino", ¿cambios menores?, ¿cambios mayores?, no lo se realmente.
No voy a realizar un balance del 2008, para mi, como para muchas otras personas alrededor del mundo, el año terminó hace algunos días, 1429, no 2008.
De todas formas, quiero desear a todos aquellos allí fuera, listos para celebrar el fin del año, un fantástico 2009, me encantaría tener algo que celebrar en 1430.

Last months were kind of strange, as you can see in the blog there's some irregular presence of articles, and I'm working, at least in some area in my mind, on some ideas to keep the blog in the "good path", minor changes?, major changes?, I don't know really.
I'm not going to do a balance of 2008, for me, as for many other people around the world, the year finished some days ago, 1429, no 2008.
Anyway, I wish to all of you out there, ready to celebrate the end of the year, a fantastic 2009, I would love to have something to celebrate in 1430.
