Esta vez 83 es el número de la esperanza, la última identidad recuperada gracias al trabajo de las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.
Nacida en el campo de detención ilegal de La Cacha, en las afueras de la ciudad de la Plata, en 1977, esta mujer es hija de María Elena Corvalán y Mario César Suárez Nelson, como muchos otros, aún desaparecidos.
Esta fue la primera vez, en semejante investigación, cuando un método diferente fue utilizado para descubrir la verdadera identidad, con una orden legal para investigar en la casa de la persona involucrada, y buscar por "pistas" de ADN en cosas de todos los días, como el cepillo de dientes.
Desdde aquí, como siempre, mi apoyo y simpatía por el gran trabajo y coraje, de las Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.



This time 83 it's the number of hope, the last identity recovery thanks to the work of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.
Born in the illegal detention camp of La Cacha, ouside the city of La Plata, in 1977, this woman is the daughter from María Elena Corvalán and Mario César Suárez Nelson, like many others, still missing.
This was the first time, in such kind of investigation, when a different method was used to discover the true indentity, with a legal order to investigate in the house of the person involved, and check for ADN "clues" in everyday things, like the toothbrush.
From here, as always, my support and symphaty for the great work and courage, of the Abuelas de Plaza de Mayo.

Mazaki Tazaki: jazz cancionero

Trato de difundir la buena música en Argentina, en dos idiomas, mi español nativo y el inglés, pero es difícil traducir "jazz cancionero", alguna clase de misterio sobre el estilo de esta nueva banda.
No conozco a todos los miembros del grupo, pero con Nicolás Said y su habilidad para el saxo tenor, y Julián Montauti en el contrabajo, creo que el resto de los muchachos estará a la altura del "trabajo".
Mañana por la noche, en Thelonious Club, el momento exacto para develar el secreto de Masaki Tazaki y el "jazz cancionero".



I try to spread the good music in Argentina, in two languages, my native spanish and the english, but it's hard to translate "jazz cancionero", some kind of mistery about the style of this new band.
I don't know all the members of the group, but with Nicolás Said and his skill for the tenor sax, and Julián Montauti at the acoustic bass, I believe the rest of the guys will be up to the "task".
Tomorrow night, at Thelonious Club, the right time to unveil the secret of Mazaki Tazaki and the "jazz cancionero".

Hay una cantante allí fuera, tratando de ampliar sus horizontes, y también los nuestros.
Esta noche, en Bodega 52, Ravignani 1905, Marina Carrera estará cantando canciones en alemán, francés e inglés. Pero, bueno, no las canciones habituales, música del período 1900 - 1940, especialmente del cabaret berlinés, café francés y jazz antiguo.
Una buena oportunidad para la música, y un buen chucrut con una copa de vino...
Y, volviendo al arte, algo interesante, de una de las nuevas voces en la escena musical de Buenos Aires.




There's a singer out there, trying to expand her horizons, and ours too.
Tonight, at Bodega 52, Ravignani 1905, Marina Carrera will be singing songs in german, french and english. But, well, not the usual songs, music from the 1900 - 1940 period: specially from the Berlin cabaret, french cafe and old fashioned jazz.
A good chance for music, and a good chucrut with a glass of wine...
And, returning to art, something interesting, from one of the new voices in the Buenos Aires music scene.

España: el proceso de paz / Spain: The peace process

No puedo entender que está mal para el PP (Partido Popular), si, dejando a un lado que están utilizando sus peores modales de "extrema derecha", en cuerpo y alma.
¿Ellos no quieren la paz?
¿Ellos no recuerdan la violencia?
¿Están esperando la siguiente elección?
Hoy, en el Congreso, Mariano Rajoy (líder del partido), hizo el tonto, para utilizar la palabra más amable en mi cabeza, rompiendo el "apoyo" al gobierno. En primer lugar: ¿de qué apoyo está hablando este hombre? El, y su partido, excepto por algunas pequeñas leyes, estuvieron contra cada movimiento del gobierno del PSOE (Partido Socialista Obrero Español), no sólo en el desarrollo del proceso de paz, en todo. Todo el tiempo en el Congreso, todos los grupos en un lado, y el PP (Partido Popular) diciendo no.
Es tiempo de paz, es tiempo para trabajar. Un buen amigo tiene una gran idea, sobre la tarea para los líderes del PP (Partido Popular), y estoy de acuerdo...




I can't understand what's wrong for the PP (Popular Party), yes, besides they're using their worst "extreme right" manners, in body and soul.
They don't want peace?
They don't remember the violence?
They're waiting for the next election?
Today, at the Congress, Mariano Rajoy (leader of the party), made the fool, to use the gentle word in my mind, breaking the "support" to the goverment. First of all: what support it's this man talking about? He, and his party, except for some little small laws, were against every single movement from the PSOE's government (Spanish Socialist Worker Party), not only in the development of the peace process, in everything. All the time at the Congress, all the groups one side, and the PP (Popular Party) saying no.
It's time for peace, it's time to work. A a good friend has a great idea, about the task for the leaders of the PP (Popular Party), and I'm agree...
