Un amigo me envió interesante información sobre un estudio de grabación llamado Casa Frida.
Después de diez años, 120 álbumes producidos, ellos está ofreciendo el mismo entorno acogedor y alta calidad técnica, pero ahora en un mayor y rediseñado espacio.
Más riqueza acústica, una nueva sala de control (40 m2), una nueva sala (50 m2), y un Grand Piano Grotrian, con una capacidad de estudio para registrar la perfomance profesional de un octeto.
Es un placer difundir las noticias sobre este maravilloso lugar.


A friend sent me interesting information about a recording studio called Casa Frida.
After ten years, and 120 produced albums, they're offering the same cozy environment and high quality technique, but now in a wider and redesigned space.
More acoustic richness, a new control room (40 m2), a new room (50 m2), and a Grotrian Grand Piano, with a studio capacity to record a professional perfomance from an octet.
It's a pleasure to spread the news about such wonderful place.

Escalandrum: jazz desde una perspectiva diferente en Thelonious / Escalandrum: jazz from a different perspective at Thelonious

Desde 1999, gracias a una brillante idea de Daniel "Pipi" Piazzolla, Escalandrum es parte de la escena musical local.
Una de las principales intenciones es estirar los límites del jazz hacia dimensiones desconocidas, mezclando música popular de Argentina con ritmos de todo el planeta.
Pueden verificar el gran resultado de este experimento los sábados 19 y 26, mayo 2007, en Thelonious Club (Salguero 1884, Palermo, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires).
Material de su 5º album, a ser grabado hacia fin de año, cerrando un exitoso 2007, será una importante parte de los shows.
Al comienzo de este año presentaciones en el Festival Internacional de Providencia en Chile, la Bienal de Medellín y el Teatro Nacional de Bogotá en Colombia, con entradas agotadas en todos los sitios. Ahora, está listos para Europa, y el Mercado de Música Viva de Vic, Barcelona, regresando para una gira Latinoamericana y una visita a las provincias del interior de Argentina.
Entonces, no sean haraganes, los shows en Thelonious Club serán una buena oportunidad para escuchar a Escalandrum antes que dejen Buenos Aires para llevar su buena música alrededor del mundo.


Since 1999, thanks to a bright idea from Daniel "Pipi" Piazzolla, Escalandrum is part of the local music scene.
One of the main intentions is to stretch the limits of jazz into unknown dimensions, mixing popular music from Argentina with rhythms from all over the planet.
You can verify the great outcome from the experiment the saturdays 19 and 26, may 2007, at Thelonious Club (Salguero 1884, Palermo, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires).
Material from their 5º album, to be recorded by the end of the year, closing a successful 2007, will be an important part of the shows.
At the beginning of this year presentations at the Festival Internacional de Providencia in Chile, the Medellín Bienal and the Bogotá National Theater in Colombia, with sold out tickets everywhere. An interesting idea for a tribute from Bar Uanchu, choosing well known musicians and inviting local musicians to play their music.

Algo está podrido, realmente podrido, y no es Dinamarca.
El gobierno de Argentina está mostrando estos días verdaderos malos modales. Para algunos, yo, y no quiero ser humilde aquí, algo estuvo siempre escondido debajo de la alfombra, desde el mismo comienzo.
Todas las banderas de los derechos humanos, cuando de hecho muy poco hicieron por las cosas reales, por ejemplo, un terrible y triste ejemplo, Julio López está aún desaparecido, y si quieren añadir más horror, bueno, el asesinato del maestro Carlos Fuentealba en Neuquén, por la policía, el constante ataque a la protesta social, la forma estúpida en que manipulan los medios masivos, e inclusive algunos pequeños y medianos medios también.
