Desde 1999, gracias a una brillante idea de Daniel "Pipi" Piazzolla, Escalandrum es parte de la escena musical local.
Una de las principales intenciones es estirar los límites del jazz hacia dimensiones desconocidas, mezclando música popular de Argentina con ritmos de todo el planeta.
Pueden verificar el gran resultado de este experimento los sábados 19 y 26, mayo 2007, en Thelonious Club (Salguero 1884, Palermo, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires).
Material de su 5º album, a ser grabado hacia fin de año, cerrando un exitoso 2007, será una importante parte de los shows.
Al comienzo de este año presentaciones en el Festival Internacional de Providencia en Chile, la Bienal de Medellín y el Teatro Nacional de Bogotá en Colombia, con entradas agotadas en todos los sitios. Ahora, está listos para Europa, y el Mercado de Música Viva de Vic, Barcelona, regresando para una gira Latinoamericana y una visita a las provincias del interior de Argentina.
Entonces, no sean haraganes, los shows en Thelonious Club serán una buena oportunidad para escuchar a Escalandrum antes que dejen Buenos Aires para llevar su buena música alrededor del mundo.


Since 1999, thanks to a bright idea from Daniel "Pipi" Piazzolla, Escalandrum is part of the local music scene.
One of the main intentions is to stretch the limits of jazz into unknown dimensions, mixing popular music from Argentina with rhythms from all over the planet.

At the beginning of this year presentations at the Festival Internacional de Providencia in Chile, the Medellín Bienal and the Bogotá National Theater in Colombia, with sold out tickets everywhere. Now they're ready for Europe, and the Market of the Live Music of Vic, Barcelona, coming back for a Latin American tour and a visit to the provinces from Argentina's interior.
