Como toda noche de jueves en febrero, ella estuvo allí, lista para entregar otro gran show a la audiencia.
Ya no es un secreto, no hay necesidad de seguir hablando sobre el regreso de
Bárbara Togander a la escena musical local, ella está en buena forma, pude ser testigo de su talento en
Virasoro Bar, el jueves 15, febrero 2007.
Algunos standards, como "Ruby, my dear" de Thelonious Monk, y "Estate" de Bruno Martino, especialmente hermosa la guitarra en la primera, tocada por Wenchi Lazo, con su habitual habilidad.
En los standards la libertad está siempre presente, es claramente diferente cuando tocan su propio material, van aún más lejos ("Fla, fla, fla").
Bárbara Togander no es una "cantante de jazz" en una forma tradicional, por supuesto toma algo del acercamiento del jazz en su música, y también de su experiencia en la experimentación vocal.
Cuando está en el bajo eléctrico muestra un interesante estilo, y cuando digo "interesante" no es simplemente un pensamiento liviano, quiero decir que ella es una realmente buena bajista.
El resto de la banda, con Lulo Isod en batería, manteniendo el ritmo, sin importar la velocidad, Ariel Naón en contrabajo, con un sonido sólido, aún en los momentos cuando la banda muestra su lado más "punk rock", Lobi Meis en Casiotone y cuidando la calidad del sonido, bueno, simplemente grandioso.
Y quiero hablar brevemente sobre una sorpresa en el show, Alvaro Torres en piano, pienso que vamos a hablar más y más sobre este pianista, el merece un mayor reconocimiento de acuerdo a su talento.
Entonces, aún queda un día para disfrutar de estos músicos en febrero, jueves 22, 21:30 hs, en
Virasoro Bar.

Bárbara Togander it's not a "jazz singer" in a traditional way, of course she takes some of the jazz approach in her music, and from her vocal experimentation experience too.
When she's at the electric bass shows an interesting style, and when I say "interesting" it's not just a light thought, I mean that she's a really good bass player.
The rest of the band, with Lulo Isod on drums, keeping the rhythm, no matter the speed, Ariel Naón on acoustic bass, with a solid sound, even in the moments when the band it's showing their most "punk rock" side, Lobi Meis on Casiotone and taking care of the quality of the sound, well, simply great.
And I want to talk a little about a surprise on the show, Alvaro Torres on piano, I think we're going to talk more and more about this pianist, he deserves a wider recognition according to his talent.
