Hace unos días estaba diciendo a un amigo que odio las listas, y "listas de éxitos" también, especialmente en estos días, cuando un año está llegando a su fin, en todos lados, una loca manera de mirar sobre nuestro hombro para ver los meses pasados, pero, como ser humano, necesito cerrar algunas puertas de tanto en tanto, y pienso que mi última selección de música para 2012 es la correcta.
Norris Trío - "
300" (enonane records, 2012) es la última grabación del
Norris Trío con
Cristián Bórtoli, su contrabajista original, pero no hay tristeza aqui, sólo la pura alegría que usualmente podemos encontrar en cada álbum de este asombroso grupo de jazz.
Enrique Norris es el hombre a cargo, pero no en la "manera capitán barco pirata", la libertad está en la aire, y por supuesto dentro, y hasta fuera de la música.
Pablo Díaz en batería, también un miembro original de esta bella experiencia musical, es siempre una poderosa fuerza creativa, toda la banda puede entregar una joya de jazz detrás de otra, con la misma refrescante magia.
"La risa del eco", algunas veces la bella combinación entre los sonidos de Africa y el jazz están muy cerca.
"Brillo nuclear", jazz y blues bajo un dulce brillo.
"Bapol", si habla el piano, silencio para escuchar y disfrutar.
"Tres pronósticos", cuando la belleza está escondida en una pieza musical.
"P.M.", volando alto en una amigable jam de jazz.
"Ticrinas", cierren sus ojos, y sueñen.
"Odmun", si hay swing, sólo bailen.
"Keté keté", Africa, nuevamente, un placer, como es habitual.
"A veeer", la noche está bien abierta.
"Te buscan", y maravillosos sonidos los encontrarán.
"Es inútil que blá, blá, blá, blá...", diciendo adiós a la manera del jazz.
Lo dije hace muchos años, para el
Norris Trío el jazz es sólo una llave, desde allí ellos pueden ir a donde quieran, el patio de juegos es un sitio abierto para explorar, y a ellos les encanta hacerlo, y lo harán nuevamente en su próximo álbum, con Maximiliano Kirszner, su nuevo contrabajista.
Mis amigos, nada más que decir,sólo abran sus almas, corazones, y oídos, la buena música está aquí para quedarse.
A few days ago I was telling a friend that I hate lists, and "top lists" too, specially these days, when a year is reaching its end, everywhere, a crazy way to look back over your shoulder to see the past months, but, as a human being, I need to close some doors from time to time, and I think my last music selection for 2012 is the right one.

Enrique Norris is the man on charge, but not in the "pirate ship captain way", freedom is in the air, and of course inside and even outside the music.
Pablo Díaz on drums, also an original member from this beautiful musical experience, is always a strong creative force, the whole band can deliver one gem of jazz after another, with the same refreshing magic.

I said it many years ago, for the
Norris Trío jazz is just a key, from there they can go wherever they want, you know, the playground is an open place to explore, and they love to do it, and they'll do it again in the next album, with Maximiliano Kirszner, the new double bass player.
