El último lunes por la noche estuve en Notorious (Av. Callao 966, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina) para escuchar a una de las bandas más interesantes en la escena del jazz local, el Carlos Alvarez Trío.
Quiero compartir con ustedes algunas de las imagenes de esa noche, una brillante noche musical gracias al talento de Carlos Álvarez (contrabajo y composiciones), Rodrigo Domínguez (saxo tenor), y Hernán Mandelman (batería), por la música presten atención a euskir's txoko por nuevas presentaciones en vivo, a la vuelta de la esquina, y la oportunidad de tener la magia de este jazz también en un disco muy pronto.
Dspués de todo, estoy feliz escuchando nueva, y fantástica música, y le deseo al Carlos Alvarez Trío lo mejor, para un futuro que se será musicalmente maravilloso, para ellos, y también para todos nosotros.

Last monday night I was at Notorious (Av. Callao 966, Autonomic City of Buenos Aires, Argentina) to listen one of the most interesting bands in the local jazz scene, the Carlos Alvarez Trio.
I want to share with all of you some of the images from that night, a shiny musical night thanks to the talent from Carlos Alvarez (acoustic bass and compositions), Rodrigo Domínguez (tenor sax), and Hernán Mandelman (drums), for the music, pay attention to euskir's txoko for new live presentations, just around the corner, and the chance to have the magic of this jazz also in an album quite soon.
After all, I'm happy listening new, and fantastic music, and I wish the Carlos Alvarez Trio the best, for a future that I know will be musically wonderful, for them, and also for all of us.

Enrique Norris, músico de jazz, y algo más (otro excelente músico que no pueden etiquetar), estará tocando en Notorious (Av. Callao 966, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina), pero con un entorno musical diferente en cada presentación.

I know many musicians, but only in a few I can listen the non stop creativity as in Enrique Norris, and june will be a dream come true for his faithful listeners.

Ahora con su propio proyecto, porque él no es desconocido para la mayoría de los amantes de la buena música, fue una pieza importante, y aún lo es, en muchas otras bandas.

En años recientes, una de las más fantásticas sorpresas, fue descubrir la música de un entonces no muy conocido guitarrista y compositor, Lucio Balduini, pero ahora, cuando estamos hablando sobre él, sabemos que estamos hablando sobre talento, y creatividad sin límite.
"Lucecita" (Buri, 2007) fue su primer disco, y ahora el está listo para poner otros proyectos en el camino, incluyendo un tour Europeo, pero...
El miércoles 18, marzo 2009, 21:30 hs., el estará presentando música de "Lucecita" (Buri, 2007), y también nueva música, el lugar: Notorious (Av. Callao 966, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina), y nuevamente, mismo lugar y hora, el miércoles 25, 2009.
En esta oportunidad como trío, con Lucio Balduini en guitarra, efectos y composiciones, junto con dos grandes socios, Ariel Naón en contrabajo y composiciones, y Rodrigo Reparaz en batería.
No podemos hablar sobre jazz, o cualquier otra etiqueta, pero por supuesto hay algo de jazz involucrado, improvisación, experimentación, pero también melodías, canciones, pienso que realmente necesitan escuchar esto, porque sólo es, sí, "sólo", bella música, ¿pueden pedir algo mejor en estos locos días en que vivimos?

Juntos desde 2006, el Nicolás Chientaroli Trío aún está trayendo aire fresco la la escena del jazz local, con Nicolás Chientaroli en piano y composiciones, Carlos Álvarez en contrabajo, y Hernán Rodríguez en batería.
Un maravilloso primer álbum: "La música está prohibida" (2007), con las fantásticas creaciones musicales de Nicolás Chientaroli, pero también con música inusual para la grabación de un trío, como la composición de Ornette Coleman "Law years", por alguna razón el gran pianista Ernesto Jodos escribió las notas del álbum, hablando sobre "un grupo que suena diferente".
Y ahora la oportunidad de escuchar está música en vivo, este martes, marzo 3, 2009, 21:30 hs., en Notorious (Av. Callao 966, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires, Argentina).
Finalmente, excelente jazz, un camino hacia la libre improvisación, con cada músico disfrutando esta mágica sociedad creativa.


Together since 2006, the Nicolás Chientaroli Trío it's still bringing fresh air to the local jazz scene, with Nicolás Chientaroli on piano and compositions, Carlos Álvarez on acoustic bass, and Hernán Rodríguez on drums.
A wonderful first album: "La música está prohibida" (The music it's forbidden) (2007), with Nicolás Chientaroli's fantastic musical creations, but also with unusual music for a trio recording, as Ornette Coleman's composition "Law years", for some reason the great pianist Ernesto Jodos wrote the notes on the album, talking about "a group that sounds different".

Roxana Amed: excelente música y también buenas noticias... / Roxana Amed: excellent music and good news too...

Después de la exitosa presentación del último viernes, Roxana Amed estará nuevamente en Notorious (Callao 966, Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires), mañana, viernes 2, noviembre 2007, 21:30 hs.
Su hermosa voz, su guitarra, y la habitual buena compañía de Claudio Iuliano en guitarras, Fernando Galimany en contrabajo y Mario Gusso en percusión.
Pero eso no es todo, en noviembre 8, 2007, ella estará en el XI Festival de Jazz "Santiago Grande Castelli" (Rosario, Argentina), y en noviembre 9 y 10 en Córdoba, el 9 en el CPC (Centro de Participación Comunal) Centro Cultural Arguello (5021 Avenida Rafael Nuñez, Córdoba, Argentina), y el 10 en Fragueiro 2020 (Mariano Fragueiro 2020, Bº Alta Córdoba, Córdoba, Argentina).
Al mismo tiempo Roxana Amed está trabajando en la realización de un video musical de la canción "Georgia Lee" (compuesta por Tom Waits y Kathleen Brennan, e incluida en el álbum de Roxana Amed "Entremundos"- S-Music, 2006), y como en el álbum estará León Gieco también en el video. La versión en español de la canción fue realizada por Roxana Amed y Pedro Aznar.
Y aún hay más. En diciembre, un DVD será grabado con canciones de "Limbo" (EMI, 2004) y "Entremundos" (S-Music, 2006), con material inédito e invitados especiales, todo esto en un concierto especial, algo que no podemos esperar para disfrutar.
Y una más, "para el camino", "Limbo" (EMI, 2004) y "Entremundos" (S-Music, 2006) serán editados y lanzados nuevamente por S-Music, y distribuidos por Sony BMG.
Como pueden ver muchas buenas noticias, gracias al gran esfuerzo de Roxana Amed para entregar buen arte para todos nosotros, pero, con el talento involucrado, sabemos que ese esfuerzo vale la pena.


After the successful presentation from last friday, Roxana Amed will be again at Notorious (Callao 966, Autonomic City of Buenos Aires), tomorrow, friday 2, november 2007, 9:30 pm.
Her beautiful voice, her guitar, and the usual good company from Claudio Iuliano on guitars, Fernando Galimany on acoustic bass and Mario Gusso on percussion.
