If you're not familiar with La Tipo, and its usual designs, diving deep in the waters of a naive surrealism, well, I believe it's a great time to know these people.
In the last weeks, I'd been helping to this well known t-shirts and design store from Madrid, to expand its internet presence.

Sencillo como eso. Ningún discurso pomposo, no señor, no es su estilo. Sólo fijar en mi mente y corazón su talento en el cine, teatro, literatura, en el escenario, o detrás del telón, escribiendo, dirigiendo
Dos películas son para mi una viva descripción de su arte: "Las bicicletas son para el verano" (Jaime Chávarri, 1984) y "El viaje a ninguna parte" (Fernando Fernán Gómez, 1986), la primera también un éxito en el teatro, una hermosamente triste historia sobre el terrible impacto de la Guerra Civil Española en la gente común, la segunda, una conmovedora reflexión sobre el mundo del teatro y la vida.
Vida, como el dijo una vez, más importante que el arte, un fiel anarquista, un luchador por la libertad, bueno, perdón Fernando, me estoy poniendo sentimental, y pomposo, será difícil caminar sin tu "presencia física" cerca nuestro...
Entonces, de vuelta al comienzo, gracias Fernando, gracias por tu arte, y por tu vida...


Simple as that. No pompous speech, no sir, not his style. Just fix in my mind and heart his talent in the movies, theater and literature, on the stage, or behind the curtains, writing, directing.
Two movies are for me a a vivid depiction from his art: "Las bicicletas son para el verano" - "Bicycles are for the summer" - (Jaime Chávarri, 1984) and "El viaje a ninguna parte" - "Voyage to nowhere" - (Fernando Fernán Gómez, 1986), the first one also a success at the theater, a beautifully sad story about the terrible impact from the the Spanish Civil War on the common people, the second one, a poignant reflexion about the word of theater and life.
Life, as he said once, more important that art, a faithful anarchist, a fighter for freedom, well, sorry Fernando, I'm getting sentimental, and pompous, will be hard to walk without your "physical presence" close to us...
Then, back to the beginning, thanks Fernando, thanks for your art, and for your life...

Pablo Aretxabala & eFindex 2007

Pablo Aretxabala, la mente maestra detrás del interesante blog llamado "Hontza", está invitándome a seguir un "meme", entonces, aquí estoy.
La gente de Las Ideas le envió una invitación a Pablo Aretxabala, para ser parte de eFindex 2007 (2º Jornadas sobre la Blogosfera, Cáceres, España), y hablar sobre "La influencia de la Blogosfera".
Sólo sesenta minutos para ocho conferencistas (alrededor de siete minutos y medio para cada uno), y está claro que es necesario que utilices muy bien tu tiempo.
Entonces, Pablo me pidió que escriba algo sobre un momento especial en la historia de mi experiencia con euskir's txoko.
Si tengo que elegir sólo un sentimiento, bueno, elegiría cuando los lectores están agradecidos por la música que comparto con ellos, y otra cosa, cuando músicos que quiero y respeto me dicen lo contentos que están al ver a alguien difundiendo su arte.
Pueden revisar el "meme" original, y mantener viva la idea, la comunicación como una maravillosa y saludable arma.

The people from Las Ideas sent an invitation to Pablo Aretxabala, to be part of the eFindex 2007 (2º Conference about the Blogosphere, Cáceres, Spain), and talk about "The influence of the Blogosphere".
Only sixty minutes for eight lecturers (around seven minutes and a half for each one), and it's clear that you need to use your time very well.
Then, Pablo ask me to write something about an special moment in the history of my experience with euskir's txoko.
If I have to pick just one feeling, well, I will choose when the readers are grateful for the music I share with them, and another thing, when musicians I love and respect tell me how happy they're to see someone spreading their art.

Un álbum de mi "lista de favoritos": Guillermo Bazzola & Summer Quartet - Alas (Bau Records, 2001), y ahora tengo buenas noticias de Guillermo Bazzola, viviendo en Madrid desde hace mucho tiempo.
Una nueva banda llamada Gnu Trío, estará tocando este miércoles 26, septiembre 2007, 23:00 hs., en Bogui (Barquillo & Piamonte, Madrid, Spain). Los miembros de la banda: Guillermo Bazzola en guitarra eléctrica, Andrés Litwin en batería y Marcelo Peralta en saxo alto.
Deseo lo mejor para esta nueva banda, pero con estos músicos no hay necesidad de suerte, tienen el talento...


An album from my "favorites list": Guillermo Bazzola & Summer Quartet - Alas (Bau Records, 2001), and now I've got good news from Guillermo Bazzola, living in Madrid since a long time ago.
A new band, called Gnu Trio, will be playing this wednesday 26, september 2007, 11 pm, at Bogui (Barquillo & Piamonte, Madrid, Spain). The members of the band: Guillermo Bazzola on electric guitar, Andrés Litwin on drums and Marcelo Peralta on alto sax.
I wish the best for this new band, but with these musicians there's no need for luck, they've got the talent...
