The Positive Ghetto Was, The Positive Ghetto Is: Cultural Affairs in the AI Age

The name was catchy, at least for me my friends.
And it’s still alive and kicking, as you’ll see, carrying a deeper meaning, inspired, as always, by something I firmly believe in: the sense of community.
Community as human beings, community as artists.

The goal? To connect beyond geographical boundaries, with creativity, independence, and quality as the only passports required.

Back in the day, "The Positive Ghetto" had some ties to a previous project called euskir’s music.
While this new version isn’t structured as a nonprofit, the core idea remains: balance. Investments, not expenses.

Lately, watching the independent music market go up in flames (no need to name a specific streaming service, most of them are just slightly different shades of bad), I felt the urge to bring "The Positive Ghetto" back, stronger than ever.

Now, I don’t expect you to know me from my past cultural projects.
But hey, if you’re curious, feel free to check out my LinkedIn Profile, dig around my online presence, you might find some pleasant surprises. And if that’s not enough, just ask the amazing people I’ve met along the way.

So, how do we get this rebirth rolling?
Two simple ways.
One, old school: PayPal donations.
The other, a little more fashionable: grabbing an NFT from "The Positive Ghetto" collection on OpenSea.

But at the end of the day, it’s the same mission as always: connect art and artists, push for creativity and independence, and never, ever compromise on quality.
I’ve got forty years of experience in communications, advertising, marketing, cultural affairs.
Yes, I’m carrying some fantastic (and sometimes weirdly specific) skills in my luggage.

Need advice? Want to join me on this ride?
I’m here. I’m easy to find. The internet makes sure of that.

Oh, and about the title, no, it’s not a cheap clickbait trick.
AI, to me, is a symbol of our times.
You can use it wisely (a rare skill, I must say), or you can fall for the illusion of a fast and easy road to success.
I’d rather focus on something real, even in my wildest dreams.
So here’s my invitation: let’s keep art and culture safe, accessible, and alive, not just for today, but for the years to come.

euskir music: la importancia de evitar lazos comerciales para promocionar nueva música / the importance of avoid commercial ties to promote new music

euskir music it's not only dedicated to the musicians or musical spaces you can see on the link lists at right, there's also a genuine interest to promote all the interesting music, leaving genres and tags aside, you can see our Twitter account and Facebook Page to verify that.

Of course, we're not a non profit organization just for fun, there's no comercial ties, above, or beneath the table, at this point the idea it's to get the support from people who have a deep love for good music, can be a donation for a single person, or a grant from a cultural or artistic organization, we strongly believe it's in our hands to help and support good music to survive, in a musical environment, for many reasons, not very friendly.

Give us a hand, so we can keep our work, you can click on Mad Bear (member of the Bear Clan of the Tuscarora, Nation of Six-Nation Iroquois Confederacy. An activist, medicine man and world leader), above at right, to donate using our PayPal account.

Remember, euskir music doesn't charge musicians, clubs or institutions with any kind of fee, because we understand the hard times we're living, that's one of the reasons why we need your donations, small, medium, big, it doesn't matter.

The lack of commercial ties means a lot of creative freedom, for us, for the musicians and places we work with, and specially, for all good music lovers around the world.

I can say that I'm in love, as you'll see in the next article, with the use of a metaphor comparing the music scene from these days with a desert, and each interesting new artist with fresh water to survive in that desert, not an easy task.

That's one of euskir music main goals, to make it easy for all of you to access to the music from excellent musicians that are not in the eye of the mass media, and sometimes not even in many independent media.

So far I'm working with four artists, in different levels, and to keep that work alive and kicking, and to help more musicians, I need your support, yes, the support from the average good music lover.

euskir music doesn't charge musicians, clubs or institutions with any kind of fee, because we understand the hard times we're living, that's one of the reasons why we need your donations, small, medium, big, that doesn't matter.

Help us to turn the grey desert into a wonderful musical garden.
